Johnston Community College and North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NCATSU) have partnered on a transfer bridge program designed to provide prospective students a seamless transition to NCATSU.
Program Benefits:
Targeted advising from an Aggie Plus advisor at JCC and NCATSU
Priority review in the NCATSU admissions process
Waived application fee
Aggie Plus program orientation session at JCC at the beginning of each fall term
Aggie Plus program visit day at NCATSU during the spring term
Program Requirements:
Student must earn an Associate in Arts (AA), Associate in Science (AS), or Associate of Engineering (AE) degree
Student must select transferable courses using the NCATSU Pathways and consult with advisors to ensure that they are making progress toward their specific major choice or general education requirements at NCATSU
Student must maintain a 2.0 cumulative JCC GPA and obtain a “C” or better on all transferable coursework; some NCATSU academic programs may have additional admissions requirements
Following the completion of the AA, AS, or AE degree, student will transfer to NCATSU to complete their undergraduate degree
How to Apply to the Aggie Plus Program:
Submit the Aggie Plus Program Online Commitment form
Graduating high school seniors or community college students who have completed less than 30 credit hours of college work.
Participants must be from low-to-moderate income households (as determined by NCSU).
Students will be “dually admitted” into the associates degree program at JCC and as a Non-Degree Studies (NDS) student at NC State.
Students admitted to the program will have up to 3 years to complete the Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, or the Associate in Engineering degree.
The following NC State programs require that the student matriculate in the fall semester: all College of Engineering majors, studio-based design majors, math, applied math, and physics.
Students graduating with a college transfer associate degree and continuous maintenance of a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale will result in guaranteed admission to NC State.
Complete and sign an intent to enroll form for NC State.
Graduating high school seniors or community college students are eligible to apply.
Commit to full-time status (a minimum of 12 semester hours) at Johnston Community College.
Students must complete the requirements for an Associate in Science, Associate in Arts or Associate in Engineering at Johnston Community College.
Students graduating with both a college transfer associate degree and continuous maintenance of a grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale will result in guaranteed admission to UNCW.
Complete and sign an intent to enroll form for UNCW.
